Making bird feeders
In science, our topic is habitats and classification. Today after classifying invertebrates using a classification key, we had a fun activity of making bird feeders to help the birds living in our garden. We have taken them home and will look for a good branch to hang them from.
Nature hunt in Science
In our first science lesson we started our new topic of habitats and classification. After some class work we went outside on a nature hunt in this lovely sunny weather.
Goodbye Librarians
In the final week of school, we say goodbye to our Year 6 Librarians. They have done a fantastic job of helping Mrs Norfolk run the library smoothly and we couldn’t have done it with out you. We hope that you continue to have a love of books as you head off to high school.

Cricket with Danny
Danny from Lancashire Cricket has returned to teach us cricket this term and we couldn’t be happier. We haven’t forgotten some of the skills we learned in Year 3 and got stuck in straight away today despite the cold rain. We’re really looking forward to our next session.

20 Children represented Heyhouses at a Striking and Fielding festival for our local cluster.

Ultimate Frisbee Workshop
All the Year 4 children spent their morning at an ultimate frisbee workshop.
They learnt different skills to throw and catch the frisbee.
We look forward to next week when we'll be learning more skills.
