Finlay was truly in the French spirit last night, he baked some French treats for Poplar class!

Scientist of the Week
Meet our new Scientist of the week, Charlie!
He has impressed Poplar class with his knowledge of electric hazards and how to stay safe around electricity. He worked so hard to share his knowledge with the other children. Well done Charlie!
Author Visit - Jen Carney
Year 4 and 5 were lucky to meet author, Jen Carney, today. She talked of her love of writing from a young age and how her own children and family were her inspiration to publish a book. She read from The accidental diary of B.U.G.

Scientist Of the Week
Fin impressed Poplar class with his knowledge of electrical circuits last week, so he was awarded Scientist of the Week.
He was also able to identify the possible hazards in the classroom using Scientific vocabulary.

Poplar perform at the Winter Gardens
Poplar Class were invited to perform at the Winter Gardens Dance Festival.
They have spent weeks practising and perfecting a dance routine, choreographed by Miss Anderson.
Last night, they performed to an audience of over one thousand people and did Heyhouses extremely proud!
