In RE, we have been learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. We discovered why Jewish people celebrate this special festival and how they build and decorate a temporary shelter called a Sukkah. We enjoyed decorating our own Sukkah and thinking about why it is an important part of the celebration. We also made links to the Christian festival of Harvest, discussing how both festivals encourage people to be thankful for the food and resources they have. It was lovely to explore the similarities between these two celebrations!
